Background and Education

Isaac Maimon was born in 1951 in Tel Aviv, Israel. His family always encouraged and supported his artistic dreams. After serving in the Israel armed forces, Maimon studied at the highly distinguished Avni Institute of Fine Art. He found inspiration from French artists Henri Matisse and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, as well as Israeli painters Moshe Rosenthalis and Haim Kiva. In 1980, Maimon began his career as a professor at the School of Visual Arts in Beer-Sheeba, the Kaye Art Academy, and the Ben-Gurion University.
